Crown and bridge volume can arrive in uneven batches. Before adding outside capacity, identify whether your constraint is design, milling, sintering, finishing or receiving work. A supplier evaluation should address the step that is actually holding your cases back.

For the PROCA milling proposal, begin with the product and the division of work your laboratory needs. Design, manufacturing and delivery are confirmed as an agreed scope before an order enters production.

Define the product

  • Zirconia crowns and bridges: identify the restoration type and exact material, including the applicable indication and accepted finishing. See zirconia milling services.
  • PMMA: distinguish a design try-in from a prescribed provisional. Specify purpose, material and what must be reviewed before the next stage. See PMMA milling.
  • Additional outputs: models, guides and other processes need separate confirmation; they are not automatically included in a crown or bridge milling quotation.
  • CAD only: ask for design delivery if your own laboratory will manufacture. A digital service quotation does not include a physical restoration unless expressly stated.

Confirm the design stage and approved version

A scan is a record for design; an approved restoration STL is a manufacturing input. Describe which one you will supply. If CAD work or file correction is needed, agree its price, review steps and approval authority. Design is included only where the accepted quotation specifies it.

Keep the exact file revision attached to the order. Record material choices and case-specific instructions instead of assuming a generic contact, connector or spacing setting can be carried over to every product. The CAD handoff guide organizes this information.

Describe the state your lab will receive

Identify whether sintering and the requested finishing are included. Characterization, glazing, polishing, model work and other laboratory stages should appear in the specification when required. Confirm which delivery states are available for the selected material and restoration.

Receiving review should compare the delivered work with the accepted order. Clinical assessment and any required clinical adjustments remain with the treating professional.

Compare cost with a common endpoint

Use equivalent outputs when reviewing quotations. Include manufacturing, separately charged design, logistics and measured technician work remaining in your lab. Record exceptions during the pilot without assuming a published remake rate or guaranteed saving.

Confirm response windows and delivery

Discuss working-hour overlap and how production questions will be handled. Production release is different from arrival at your laboratory. Confirm the carrier, destination, import responsibilities, documentation and applicable product pathway before committing to physical delivery. This page does not offer a universal transit time.

Start with an agreed evaluation
